Lēʻahi Glow

With its sharp silhouette and fiery swirl of red and black resin, this piece radiates volcanic energy. Inspired by Lēʻahi, the iconic peak known today as Diamond Head, these earrings are a bold nod to the island’s powerful past.

In his early teens, Leighton began making surfboards. This evolved into resin-based art and jewelry. 'Ear Art,' his first jewelry collection, was made from surfboard resin. That collection includes this piece. Leighton stopped making surfboard resin jewelry in the early 1990s and will not be making pieces like this again.
