A New Dimension in Lighting
by Leighton Lam
Paradise Lights
The source for classic tropical Hawaiian lighting
designs. Our company goal is to bring a warm feeling of Aloha
to your environment, using Hawaiian floral and ocean artwork
cut into pure copper, highlighted with true patina vertigri,
and illuminated through etched high strength glass. Copper
will age and survive over time like no other metal, withstanding
salt air and constant exposure to the severest climates; gradually
changing to a rich natural burnished tone. This aged look makes
copper the best choice for exposed exterior metal surfaces.
Paradise Lights artwork and production is created
by Hawaii artist/designer Leighton Lam. It is a growing collection
which currently has several styles in production, available for
order with 2-3 week delivery. Custom designs are also available.
Paradise Lights are fully warranted to the highest level of craftsmanship
and materials.
Consider this when purchasing
lights:
Pure copper, the only metal used in Paradise Lights, is considered
the highest quality material in lighting fabrication. Many companies
however use inexpensive tin or sheet metal which is plated or
painted... it will not last long, rusting quickly in the tropical
Hawaiian environment. The glass look used in many fixtures is
not glass... it is plastic, which will turn brown and deform
with heat and sun exposure. Rarely is the patina vertigri color
created using the age old oxidation process of true craftsmen.
It is much cheaper to spray paint it green, which will eventually
chip off, peel and discolor.
If you desire the highest quality materials and
you want your lighting to reflect a Hawaiian sense of place,
Paradise Lights are for you. |
